There is such a think as the best performers on Twitter and before you ask I wish I was on it but sadly I’m not!

These people generate a lot of attention for all the right reasons and you need to be following them. They post very good information about practically anything and by you just replying to one of their updates will bring a mass amount of following in your direction.

It is clearly the best exposure to the Twitter community that you can get.

Yes I know we don’t all admit it but we are all curious about what celebrities are up to. We really can’t escape the celebrity world that we live in. But which of them should we actually follow?

After lots of browsing around and listening to sad chat shows, I have devised a list of the top best 50.

Even if you don’t like celebrities that are plenty of people that do and so what if they don’t follow you back you are getting free publicity through them. Other fans are obsessed by who is following the celebrities so they would then go and follow you.

Creating the perfect Direct Message on Twitter

So you’ve created the best profile you can and you’re developing a good following. But now you want to step it up a notch and create your very own Direct Message but what on earth do I put on it?

There is very much a mixed reaction about Direct Messages and over the last eight weeks I have experimented with many of them. Every single person that has followed me (10,000+) has received a DM from me and only one person out of 10,014 has complained.

Today with the revolution of Twitter it is very hard to decide which tools are good and bad. I personally hit 13,000 followers today after just nine weeks on Twitter and this would not have been possible if it wasn’t for these wonderful tools that are available to us.

So we’ve all heard about Twitter is some sort of shape or form. We’ve laughed when someone has made fun out of it. I must admit I have too, the jokes about people posting I’m off to the toilet are the most common. But like most things in life it’s a case of you don’t knock something until you’ve tried it.

I was introduced to Twitter by Graeme Sutherland you can find him on Twitter HERE and he pointed out that it is a very useful resource for both making friends and business. I personally enjoy the best of both worlds and find it great fun.

Anti-social Networking

We’ve never been big fans of internet marketing using social networking sites. So I built the profile and answered just two questions and left it alone. One of the questions that we answered was “Can you recommend a hosting provider for my first website”. I answered the question in about two short and to the point paragraphs and then added details about a review I had written about Hostgator saying how much it had helped me. I also included my details at the bottom to give it a more friendly touch and left it at that and forgot about it.
