Next Christmas I would like to have achieved…..

So we have hit this horrible despressing time that is half way between Christmas and a brand new year. It’s the time when we realise how much money we have spent over the last few weeks just for one special day then at the same time we are sat there wondering whether the following year will be better than the current one.

Then when we are not working we are planning our new goals and do more thinking than we do for the rest of the year. I put myself firmly in this bracket too. Over Christmas I find myself reflecting upon the business activities I’ve had over the year looking at my best products and what new products the following year will have to offer me.

Christmas holiday sales slump is it a myth?

We are all told in the internet marketing world to take a break over Christmas and New Year because our sales will be at there lowest therefore there is no need to work. I have often thought in a similar manner in the past but at the same time I haven’t made much of an effort either.

This Christmas though I decided to keep the business going at a similar standard so that I could experiment a bit with it. My advertisements would just be turned off during Christmas Day and I would see how the levels compared. I also decided to do an Ezine advertisement to go out on Christmas Day just to see if it was possible though I was pretty scared of it bombing dramatically.

A question that I am often asked is ‘How hard do you have to work on your internet business’ Well it depends how serious you are about making money but the same principles apply to an online businessas to an offline business.

I would say that to start with you have to work extremely hard. Even though it is a simple business many people get put off at the first hurdle and if you are able to keep on going when you would much rather put it off until tomorrow you are well on the way to making a success of your business.
