Ive been writing lots of articles lately and submitting them to a range of places including forums, article directories, review sites and so on.
But the big question that I am asking is………..
“Is it really worth it”
The answer that always pops into my head is YES!
I had a lovely chat the other day with an internet marketing expert that has been creating his online business since 1997 and has made a lot of money from it. He has over 5,000 niche articles floating around the internet that create a vast amount of his annual income. When I asked him about his IM articles he told be that he had nearly a thousand in circulation and that he writes new ones every week on a part time basis.
This brought me to my next question, I simply asked him what was the level of traffic that his IM articles generated for him. He was honest with me and said that it wasn’t really that high but as it was targeted he had a brilliant sign up rate and purchase rate.
Ive also found the same with my articles from 100 articles I have in circulation from the traffic I receive 85% join my free ezine. I also believe it is about the content that you include too. You have to stand out and be noticed and be better than everyone else.
I would write an article about 7 top tips and then include a free ebook at the bottom without asking them to opt in to my mailing list. You are then offering something of value without it being a blatent advertisement which people are sick of seeing.
You would then offer links in your product or on the download page and it looks so much better.
If you offer something that people are looking for they wont hesitate to click through to your article.
I know many internet marketing experts that don’t write articles as they are simply scared what to put but that is fine with me. It simply means that I don’t need to compete with the bigwigs.
So go and write your articles – you’ll soon get the marketing buzz!

I love your take on article writing. Ive just started doing the bum marketing thing lately. So far its going ok even though my fingers are a bit tired from all the typing. I just wish i was a faster typist well we cant have everything.
If it wasnt for your bum marketing ebook i would never have tried it out.

I do article marketing. More of the back links to my site are through article marketing. I am new to Internet marketing but I believe I got the best advice when I was told article marketing is the best way to generate targeted visitors.

Hi Paul, I can thoroughly understand where your coming from i joined Twitter 48hrs ago and i am completely hooked. You see ive never really done the social networking thing as there are so many different things to concentrate your attention on. After all you cant do it all its all about striking a balance.
