Bad Traffic: How to turn it into targeted traffic and make it pay

We are taught in the internet marketing business the importance of laser targeted traffic that will bring us sale after sale and that there is no other alternative especially if you are focusing on the make money online niche. But the truth is any traffic can be turned into targeted traffic if you really want it to be you just have to think of it from a totally different angle and make that angle PAY!

I have lots of different people from all walks of life selling my products as affiliate marketers those with a mailing list are always the interesting ones. You see if someone is selling a product about list building they may well have a list of business opportunities people but they may be wanting to start an online business and will know absolutely nothing about list building or why they even need a list of subscribers. However if I offered them my successful marketers bible when they join my mailing list that shows them how to have a successful online business that they can start from scratch they are much more likely to buy this product especially if it is offered with a great discount that they simply can’t refuse.

There is also another type of bad traffic that you can take to your advantage – those that don’t like spending any money and are likely to be after a free bus pass instead. Many would rather give these a wide birth but they are still worth a lot of money in your make money online campaign and please don’t forget about them. Instead let them make you money online in another way – affiliate sales are a perfect place to start with this one. They may not be willing to buy your software or ebooks but there will still be certain things that they will need to make their business successful.

This could include:

*Hosting
*Aweber account
*Membership subscriptions

Then when they are on your list offer them free hosting tutorials and surprise, surprise they will join up on YOUR hosting affiliate link and before you know it you have had a very successful day with your online business. Even though they may not want to buy your ebook at that particular moment it doesn’t mean that they wont in the future and this is what you need to think about. Use the affiliate links of companies that offer free products and then if they come in on your link and buy something two days down the line you will still get the commission from the sale.

People are more likely to sign up to something that is free and you will find this will end in unlimited affiliate sales. Instead of screaming when you next end up with some untargeted traffic turn it to your advantage find out what they want and sell it to them.
