Does the price impact which affiliate products you promote

When you are searching for affiliate products to promote, are you influenced by the price of the product and the affiliate commission that you will receive, or is this not a major factor in your decision. I would like to suggest that this should not be the major factor in the product or service that you wish to promote. For me it is far more important that the product is of top quality and of use to my customers.

If you choose do go down the route of being driven by price you could very well find that you get the reputation of only promoting high ticket items and your customers will soon tire of these tactics and start to look elsewhere. Another thing to remember regarding the promotion of quality products is that you will probably be able to sell far more of them, so the fact that the commissions are smaller will pale into insignificance.

There is of course another way of looking at it and that is if you are able to source a product to promote that has a high ticket price and is of high quality you could be looking at an extremely attractive pay day. When some marketers find a product such a s this they tend to try and fool themselves that it would appeal to their list when they know deep down that it is just not quite right. Don’t fall into that trap.

"price"I would highly recommend that you concentrate on the product as already mentioned and if that is top class then you really won’t go far wrong. It is a well known fact within the internet marketing industry that due to the present world wide economical situation, many people are not as willing to part with their money so easily. It used to be the case that anything could be promoted and it would be paid for with a credit card. How times have changed, consumers are looking after their money more than ever before and the impulse purchase for many people is a thing of the past, for now anyway.

You may think I have gone mad but I believe that this is a good thing. My sales have continued to rise and I put this down to the fact that I only promote quality, it is the marketers that will peddle anything to make a fast buck that are suffering. I read an article recently which has described the recession as the ‘cleansing fire’. What this basically means is that that the dead wood and the parasites have fallen by the wayside and only the good stuff has survived.

This can only be a good thing for the world of internet marketing and you can see that in the big promotions that have been going on just lately. The quality of some of the stuff that is actually been given away really is very good and shows that the industry is definitely moving in the right direction.

    Hi Samantha!
Very true, I have to admit I used to look first at the pay out rate and then at the product itself. The more I look around the more I am getting convinced to look for products I am comfortable to promote to make sure people believe what I write, start to trust me, come back and buy eventually.
