Failures will always be more popular than successes
I know this may sound really daft but as internet marketers readers are much more interested in your failures than they are in your successes and nothing will ever stop this from being true.
If you post on your Blog that something that you did failed or tell your ezine subscribers about a stupid mistake you made you will get more than ten times more interest than you would do with a success. When people follow your business activities online many of them are less successful than yourself and they want to learn from you. If you make a mistake they want to know all about it, firstly because they then realise you are only human and secondly so that they don’t follow suit and do the same themselves.
One of my subscribers recently decided to take the honest policy as far as she possibly could and printed on her Blog how much money she made over 30 days to show how easy or hard it was to break into affiliate marketing. Through article writing and Adwords she had created quite a following both with subscribers and sales. However during three days in the month she made a loss because the Adwords didn’t pay off on those particular days and the sales were a bit slow as they can’t be perfect all of the time. When she recorded these facts her traffic absolutely exploded and banner ads that she had her Blog went crazy. She also had a surge in comments and created lots of new subscribers that valued her honesty.
If you are not honest people will often catch you out pretty quickly but if you are honest you will get twice as much respect. We all have our faults especially in the make money online niche and if you cut out your bad bits and concentrate on the good chunks you will have a great online business. For example I am terrible with paid advertising it always goes wrong in some kind of way so by sticking to the free marketing methods I maximise my profits.
