How much is your Blog worth to you?
At the moment I seem to be chatting to lots of different people in the business that is having their Blogs suspended.
The worst part is it’s not their fault!
They are not spammers or selling illegal content they are just normal people like me and you.
There downside is that they made the fatal decision to take up the opportunity of a free Blog through sites like Blogger.com and WordPress.org. They simply saw the opportunity of having a free Blog with absolutely no outlay whatsoever and like many of us that wanted to save money did it.
I have fallen into this category myself too I first opened a Blog with Blogger.com and even though I wasn’t going to do anything with it at the time I wanted a certain name for it so I registered it in advance and planned to leave it to a later date to set up.
I then forgot about it!
A week or so later I got an email from Blogger.com telling me that they have shut it down as it was spam. I couldn’t believe my eyes, I really couldn’t how could they possibly shut me down when I hadn’t even typed one word of content.
It’s simple because they can, they own the website Blog and you can’t do anything about it.
Thankfully I didn’t have any content on it whatsoever, but what if I had spent six months building it up with weekly content and then it was lost for good without any notice.
Now that would have been a disaster!
Soon after my incident I went through a similar route with WordPress.org as I thought they were different. I steadily started building up my traffic with my free Blog and was happy with it. Then one of my friends pointed out to me how much traffic he gets from a hosted Blog and how easy it really was and that I really shouldn’t be frightened about doing it.
I now decided the time had come to take the bullet and get on with having a proper Blog and that’s exactly what I did.
A few minutes later I had my very own Hostgator account and I soon started sorting out the settings for my Blog.
This though was a long and stressful task to undertake and by god was it hard for me to do. I have no experience whatsoever with hosting and frankly didn’t know where to start.
I then spent many hours looking over the internet for the best Plugins to use. This was then followed by many hours looking for the best theme, widgets and much more.
Then a couple of weeks later one of my customers called Anne contacted me. She didn’t have her own hosted Blog and she had actually been building it for over 18 months. Then one day last week she suddenly went to log in to her account with Blogspot and she was told that the account didn’t exist.
She couldn’t understand it, she really couldn’t!
Then when she logged on to her email address she found an automated email from them telling her that her account had been cancelled because she had violated their rules!
They didn’t even tell her, what the rules were or how she violated them. She had just lost all that work and there was nothing she could do about it.
She was heartbroken!
Once I had spoken to her I quickly sorted out an account for her and helped her set one up with Hostgator. I also gave her step by step instructions on how to do this.
Which to me is the most important part as it is so, so hard to get your head round.
After hearing her story and many, many others I decided to write a report with step by step instructions on how to set up your Blog with WordPress & Hostgator. It even gives you details of the best Plugins and Pings to use.
Oh and did I mention that it’s free!
Yes you’ve got it right you can download my wordpress tutorial it for free now from:

If I had come across something like this when I started out I would have been a very happy bunny!
What astounds me is that I am a regular visitor on sites such as twitter.com and warriorforum.com I can’t believe how many people are using these free sites.
I am just not prepared to task the risk, but the big question is are you?
Please don’t put it off otherwise you could wake up like Anne did and realise that you no longer have a Blog. Plus there is the advantage of being able to put lots of different adverts on your Blog without advertising someone else’s links like you would get with free sites.
Remember if you can set up your own profitable Blog you can make money blogging sooner than you think.
Thanks for reading and I hope that this blog is making the difference in showing you how to make money online. Whether you are new to internet marketing or are an internet marketing expert there is always something new to learn.
I find that I discover new internet marketing methods each year and I am here to share them with you.

Hi Samantha
I had exactly the same problem with WordPress last year when I first started. I ad links to various affiliate products but I wouldn’t class that as spamming. Anyway I went to log on one day only to be told that my account had been suspended due to violation of rules.
So I just started another one under a different name and transferred it to Hostgator. So much easier to handle and it’s now me in control which is great. Great blog you have here by the way!
Best wishes
Doug
