The best way in my opinion to get your blog readers heading for your archive links is very simple. Offer top quality content which will leave your readers wanting more.

I know that if I read a blog for the first time and the information and the style of the blog is just what I am looking for I always look to find the archive so I can read more. If the archive contains post that are also interesting I will look for an opt in page so that I can receive even more information. I am actually crying out for some more good stuff and the chances are if this person advises me to buy something there will be a great chance that I will.

I’m sure that many of you are the same and when you look at it like this you will realise how important that it is to put quality content on your blog. You will always notice that I very rarely if ever try and sell anything from my blog posts. I may have a link at the bottom for one of my own products as well as promotions on the blog page itself but I just like to get my point across on the blog posts and generally have a good chat.

One thing that I have noticed is that quite often the archive links are hidden away somewhere that you can’t see at first sight. Place the links to your archive somewhere that is easy to access because your visitors will rarely give you a second chance if they can’t find what they are looking for straight away.

Something eles that so many bloggers don’t have is an opt in email list. Using something like aweber you can have a small box on your blog asking for the visitors details in returen for a small report on the niche of the blog. You will be surprised how many people will read your top quality blog post and then leave their email address for more of the same. You don’t need to have been around internet marketing for long to have heard the expression, ‘the money is in the list’. It is very true and if you have a list you will find that it will be far easier to get your internet maketing results up to the next level.

The basis of all of this is from having good informative content on your blog posts, the older ones which can be viewed on your archive links, I know that on some occasions I have been so annoyed with myself as I have gone to a blog for the first time and ended up spending at least an hour reading through the blog archives. This is what you should be aiming for, make the decision to view your blog archives a ‘no brainer’ due to the quality of your content.
