It seems that the vast majority of people that I talk to these days want to quit their day job and start a successful internet business. I suppose it is the state of the economy and the days of having a job for life really are long gone.

To be honest, even before the recession, it has been the aim of many people to work for themselves and the advent of the internet has made the dream far more likely for a great many people.

When I am asked how people can quit their day job and be successful online I always try to find out what each person is like, what I am trying to say is that are they the type of person who can cope with the stress of just having to go out and earn money online to pay the the bills straight away or are they the type who would be better suited to learning whilst they are still in the relative comfort of having a job.

In the overwhelming amount of cases it is the latter that which applies and as long as they actually commit to putting the time in to learn, then that is probably the best option.

Many people are actually surprised how easy it is to start an internet business and the main thing is to actually get started. Instead of just thinking about it, actually make a plan and do something. That really is the main thing that is required and when they start to see the money coming in, then that is the push that many people need to actually crank it up a little and start earning enough to quit the day job.
