How to Write a Memorable Article By Sandra Fisher
Thank you for returning to our Internet Marketing Blog. To be the first to hear about updates please subscribe.I received an invitation to write a guest article for Samantha’s “make money online” blog and I am happy to do so because although I receive many emails promising to explain how to make money online, hers is usually the first one that I open and read from top to bottom.
The question is why? What is so special about her articles – particularly when “make money online” is a completely overdone topic on the internet. What makes her readers so keen to read what she has to say?
No doubt you can add to the following list but here are a few reasons why I find her articles and posts so appealing.
- Firstly, Samantha’s posts are always original. They are about methods and tips that she has personally found to work well.
- Her advice is simple, practical, and repeatable.
- Her posts are personal. She doesn’t hide behind a wall of business-like anonymity. She puts her personality out there so that you get to know her as a real person.
- She isn’t afraid to tell you about her mistakes and mishaps when these do occur. She comes across as a real human being and not a money making machine. That’s why she builds so much trust – which as you know is crucial for doing business online.
- Lastly, Samantha may be successful at making money online but she has a way of convincing you that you can do it too! And that is the million dollar secret.
Now I am not in the “make money online” business – but I do write articles for my own craft blog and I find this personal way of writing articles very appealing. That is why I get so irritated whenever I receive an email promising to introduce me to software that will allow me to produce articles automatically by the hundreds.
Of course we’re all game for a shortcut here and there. But blogging is a craft and it’s a creative one at that. That is why I so resent scraped content – those bits and pieces of text automatically swiped from other people’s articles by some clever piece of software.
If hate is too strong a word – then I completely and utterly dislike disconnected sentences that are so meaningless you need a translator to help you understand them!
Which reminds me that I have never come across a piece of software that has produced a memorable article.
But on the other hand, my hard drive is full of memorable articles crafted by real people who have been genuinely helpful at one time or another. Samantha’s are among them.
Sandra Fisher’s blog Craft and Create is about finding the creativity within you and following your passion. Her interests include blogging, handwriting analysis and flower pressing. She has written an instruction manual on The Secrets of Flower Pressing and several ebook guides on The hidden meaning of Handwriting.
