My plan for 2009 and beyond

So we all start the year with our plans for the New Year but which one of us actually stick to them?

How many of us by the middle of January have discarded them and simply said to ourselves “Next January we will”. I have done that myself at times too.

When I was a smoker it was this new year I’m giving up or this year ill spend less on……………..etc.

But with this business we can’t afford it to simply take a back seat and to be forgotten about. You won’t reach those impressive salaries that you’re looking for if you did this.

My target for 2009 that I am sure if you know me you will have heard about is Social Networking. I don’t know what it is about Social Networking that has put me off in the past I really couldn’t put it down to just one thing. I suppose it has always come down to a handful of things but the biggest but I always said:

What if they don’t like my comments and ignore me?

But you have to see past this and think what these networking sites can offer you and your business. Its like anything new that you try you might not be very good at. However if you put your best in what else could you possibly do.

To begin with I decided to watch what others did and what comments they then left and I realised there was bad and good. You just had to decide what you would be.

There are lots and lots of Twitters that leave constant links in their comments and leave them one after another all day long to me this would be a bad thing to do.

People don’t want to feel harassed and don’t just want the system to be used as an earner. This is why I will never leave more than ten links a day even though I expect most days to fall around the five mark.

You will find that without leaving link comments you will start get a mass of traffic through to you.

I send out an automated response to new followers on Twitter with my Blog details and I get an incredible amount of hits from this alone. If you had a new product coming out you could change this welcome message to include a link to this offer.

Remember social networking is big business and you can have fun too!
