New Year Inspirations

Well it’s got to that time of year again hasn’t it? That hard part we will go through each and every year. The part when we have become bored after eating all the Christmas food, drinking far too much celebrating the Christmas season and stuffing our faces with chocolate.

That’s when we have those thoughts………..

Have I achieved everything that I set out to achieve in the past year and what do I want to achieve in the year to come. I’m not talking about unrealistic goals either.

I must give up smoking

I want to go on a diet

I will find a partner

Everybody has New Year resolutions even if we don’t admit it. But I’m not talking about resolutions just planning your time and sticking to your goals.

I felt like this on Christmas Eve it came a few days early this year!

I wanted to plan what projects I wanted to work on in 2009 so I got my notebook out (well one of them!) and set to writing down what I wanted to do next year.

A couple of hours later I had some new plans in place and I have now started designing a new website for my new project.

I believe organisation skills are extremely important in this business. Even to go as far as organising your files on your Computer.

On numerous occasions I have come across websites that have been of great interest to me and I have always saves these to my hard drive so that I can take a look at them at a later time.

When I get an idea in my head its like my brain cant function until I complete the task to the best of my ability. I had to do half a job it has to be 110% with me.

ALWAYS!

I remember my escape from eBay onto the World Wide Web it was in the summer of 2005. Nearly eight months after becoming an eBay Queen (what people still call me now!) I was on holiday with my husband and my little boy who was just three at the time and my husband and I had enjoyed way to many cocktails from the local cocktail bar.

I said to him how much I hated eBay and what it had become especially how much I was paying out on seller fees. To be honest my fees were so high I couldn’t even bare to find out how much they are now!

Before you email me and ask me they were over £800 a week but then again I was making an amazing profit so I hadn’t bothered to complain until now.

I decided in my drunken state that it was time that I took my internet marketing journey to the next step and created my own website.

When I returned from holiday that’s exactly what I did. I churned out site after site working long hours until I had over 50 websites I did them in all sorts of niches including dieting, animals, dating, porn and much, much more.

I kept them all for about a year and then sold them on for a profit. I never actually intended to sell them but I soon realised that they demanded too much attention and I didn’t have the time to give them all justice.

You see this is what the internet marketing business is about if a product is demanding too much attention or disenheartens you it is better to walk away than provide a bad service to your customers.

To me this was originally a mistake as I wanted mini sites that I could run on autopilot and my original internet websites never provided me with this.

At the moment I am putting a lot of work into a new website that I am building but once its done it will run its self which is the difference. I have no problem with putting in the effort if it provides me with what I want in the long run.

I want extra time to be available so that I can concentrate on looking after my customers and researching new products.

The question you need to ask yourself is what new projects have you got planned and will they provide you with everything that you want from them!
