Next Christmas I would like to have achieved…..

So we have hit this horrible despressing time that is half way between Christmas and a brand new year. It’s the time when we realise how much money we have spent over the last few weeks just for one special day then at the same time we are sat there wondering whether the following year will be better than the current one.

Then when we are not working we are planning our new goals and do more thinking than we do for the rest of the year. I put myself firmly in this bracket too. Over Christmas I find myself reflecting upon the business activities I’ve had over the year looking at my best products and what new products the following year will have to offer me.

For 2009 the product that has done the best for me will have to be 24 Hour Twitter Expert and the reason I believe this did better than anything else is because people were amazed by the abilities Twitter offers the little guy and seeing someone use it like I do increased the appeal.

But as I am sat there the week before Christmas having a boring meal with some over the top relatives I am thinking in my head about what I want to achieve in 2010. I have decided that for one I intend to take a long break in the summer as I find this is when the business takes its lowest amount of sales and allows me a decent break. The schools in Portugal shut for three months from June to September so we will be travelling around France and Spain.

"Christmas wish"S0 with this in mind I am on autopilot putting together my new income streams so that I can have a nice break. Jotting down my ideas ahead of the summer so that I can put together some new products then after the summer plan some more products ahead of my Christmas break. The idea though is that even though it is a business that doesn’t require that much work to maintain it you still want to take it to the next level.

Make realistic targets about where you want to be by next Christmas. If you are still working in your nine to five job how about working for yourself by next Christmas? If you work at it over the year you CAN hit this goal. It’s not a big goal just a big leap into the unknown and getting past those scary moments.

If you have just been made redundant which applies to a lot of people right now get your business moving fast online by dedicating the same amount of time that you used to apply to your full time job. You don’t need to spend a fortune on it either just sign up for a really good internet marketing course and the rest of the outlay shouldn’t exceed $50 a month.

Look at what is selling and what people need right now research your market and follow it on from there. The beauty of internet marketing is that if your ebook fails so what you can simply move on to the next knowing full well that you wont have lost very much money. However if you had just opened a shop in your local town centre failure could very easily result in bankrupcy which is a totally different league.

Plan what path you want to take, where you want to see your business in a years time or even in a couple of months and go for it. Make sure your eyes are firmly open so that you make the right decisions and look at what products best suit you and your personality. Don’t start your online business with something you dislike as you will not put in enough effort and will end up walking away without making a decent profit.

Thank you Sam, that was really helpful. I know that I will be renewing my focus. My main concern will be on.

I have some exciting plans for 2010 and look forward to putting them all into practice and see which products sell best. Then focus on marketing the best sellers. I will probably be trying a blog and web development service.

Have a Great New Year and very well done in 2009

    Keep it coming Sam.
