Finding profitable niches can be difficult.  Finding one that isn’t extremely saturated can be intimidating when you’re just starting out as an Internet marketer.  The key to finding niches that are both profitable and have little competition is drilling down a top-level niche to find profitable sub-niches with fewer competitors.

For example, let’s say you’re interested in creating a site that has to do with beauty.  You can drill the beauty category down into several different sub-categories.  You could choose hair care, skin care, fitness, organic beauty, cosmetics, or any number of niches related to beauty.

How to stand out in a niche full of sharks

You will find that there are many niches out there that you could enter and go on to make good money from but there are certain niches that seem like they are full of sharks, waiting to pounce if you even dare to compete against them.Well, if you want to take my advice it would be to not concern yourself with marketers like this, they do exist but big deal, that’s what I say.

I have gone into many niches that are renowmed for beining dominated by experienced internet marketers and if you listened to all of the talk in the forums you might as well stay in bed rather than attempt to compete with these people.

I often get asked by people do I really need a Blog for my niche. Well the truth is that you should always make the effort in order to get the best results from it.

I have a Blog for all of my major niches as it is the perfect place to showcase your work so that the world can see what you have to offer it. If you have simply created a mini product for a quick surge of cash it is pointless and makes your work harder. But when that niche that you focus all your attention on is what you would call a larger income stream the need for a Blog is very important.

Anti-social Networking

We’ve never been big fans of internet marketing using social networking sites. So I built the profile and answered just two questions and left it alone. One of the questions that we answered was “Can you recommend a hosting provider for my first website”. I answered the question in about two short and to the point paragraphs and then added details about a review I had written about Hostgator saying how much it had helped me. I also included my details at the bottom to give it a more friendly touch and left it at that and forgot about it.
