I don’t want to sound like one of these lovey dovey, happy clappy people, but I always regard my blog readers as friends and I hope that comes across with my style of writing. I like to talk to them as if I was talking to my next door neighbor and I would strongly advise you to do the same.

I always remember reading a blog before I really started out in internet marketing, a blog that I used to visit on a daily basis, and the person who was writing this blog used to make me laugh out loud or feel like crying, she was no great writer or using any complicated trigger points to make me purchase something, just personal writing which must have had the same effect on many of the other readers as it did on me.

The great thing about being personal with your blog writing is that it is far easier and far more effective than trying to be something that you are not. If you are trying to write in a way which is just trying to make sales or to try and promote something that is not up to much, well, I can only imagine what hard work that must be.

If you are writing from the heart it just seems to come naturally and it is not an ordeal to get the blog posts out on time. More than anything though, it really shows. The power of people to realize when something is not quite right is often under estimated, even though we are talking about visitors to a blog here, it doesn’t matter, people can still tell.

Have you ever read a blog post or something on a forum where the person who is writing it is clearly desperate to make a sale of some kind. It stands out a mile and the usual reaction of most people is to leave that website or blog and go somewhere else.

If you are being personal with your blog writing you will gain so much trust and respect that your business will be based on the best possible foundations and you will go on to have a large number of people who will follow whatever you have to say, safe in the knowledge that you are not using them with the sole purpose of making money but to help them along the way in the best possible way.

It is not a problem to bring in some of your own personal experiences to your blog writing, perhaps your children have just started school or you are planning a visit to your parents, anything like this show people that you have a personal side, just the same as them, and all of this helps in being personal with your blog writing and as I’ve already mentioned, it is far easier to act in this way than to try and pretend to be something that you are not.
