As soon as someone actually realises that they can make money online, and I mean realise for themselves and not just what other people have told them, you will often find that they really go for it and start to make more and more money until they decide that this is the way to go and they end up leaving their day job.

Now don’t get me wrong because I think that this is absolutely brilliant, but this is where the metrics change slightly and where problems can sometimes set in. If you are working in a full time job and earning money online it really is a great feeling. That extra money can pay for life’s little luxuries and all is well and good. The thing is, when you leave your job and you then you actually need to earn the money from your internet marketing business in order to pay the bills, things can sometimes get a little stressful to say the least.

You may have a bad day, perhaps if you are selling a product, you haven’t sold anything for two days and there is a refund request for the one that you sold a week ago, or perhaps your Adsense earnings have been below average over the past week and the mechanic has just handed you a big bill for the repair of your car.

There is no getting away from the fact that this can be somewhat stressful and if you are not careful it can ruin your business. Instead of concentrating on your online venture you are pre occupied with thoughts of impending doom and before long you have imagined your family relying on handouts simply to exist.

Well, before I go any further, the first thing you should do is get those thoughts out of your mind. you do get what you focus on so focus on the good stuff.

Next, before you consider leaving your job you should really look to set up a few alternative income streams. Then, if you do have a slow day your other income streams should be tugging along nicely.

Also, be honest with yourself about what kind of personality you are. If you worry over every little thing then you should perhaps have more income streams in place than someone who only focusses on his or her goals and doesn’t stop until they get there.

Earning a full time income from an internet business is something that I have been doing for some time and I would advise it to anyone, but if you don’t want stress to ruin it all, then you should recognise the type of person that you are and act accordingly.

I do know people who love their 9 5 job and run an online business on the side which pays for life’s luxuries and they really couldn’t be happier where as I just couldn’t imagine myself with another job, but I suppose it takes all sorts to make a world.
